SACRAMENTO, CA — The Yes on Prop 3 campaign today announced the endorsements of the California Teachers Association (CTA), and CFT, A Union of Educators and Classified Professionals, and the California School Employees Association (CSEA) — the organizations representing the educators and classified professionals who teach, feed, transport, and support California's students every day.

For nearly 15 years, California has taxed its highest earners at higher rates than everyone else. Those rates have generated roughly $120 billion for schools and other services since 2012. And even with this modest tax, the incomes of California’s wealthiest households have grown dramatically over the same period. Now voters face a question about what happens next: Should those rates continue, or should they expire after 2030?

SACRAMENTO, CA — Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California (PPAC) today announced their endorsement of Proposition 3, the California Children’s Education and Health Care Protection Act, a measure that protects Medi-Cal and reproductive health care access by ensuring the wealthiest Californians pay their fair share – all without raising taxes on anyone.

SACRAMENTO, CA — Secretary Xavier Becerra has endorsed Proposition 3, the California Children's Education and Health Care Protection Act, joining a broad coalition working to stop billions of dollars in automatic cuts to California schools, community colleges, and health care.

SAN DIEGO, CA — The California Democratic Party voted over the weekend to endorse YES on Proposition 3, the California Children's Education and Health Care Protection Act, which goes before the voters on the November 2026 statewide ballot. 

"The California Teachers Association and the California Federation of Teachers, both in support of the measure, said passing Proposition 3 would prevent billions of dollars in cuts to schools."

Voters in California may decide this fall on a proposal that would make tax increases on high-income earners to fund education permanent, officials said.

Secretary of State Shirley Weber's office announced Thursday that supporters of the measure have submitted 962,106 valid signatures, more than the 874,641 needed to qualify.

SACRAMENTO, CA — Californians for Protecting Public Education, Healthcare and Budget Stability today announced submitting more than 1.6 million signatures to county elections officials to qualify the California Children’s Education and Health Care Protection Act of 2026, also known as the extension of Proposition 55, for the November 2026 ballot.
